Epoxy Injection of Glu-Lam Arches

The Problem

Weather exposed glu-lam arches was causing wood rotting and deterioration at the glue lamination locations.

The Solution

First, holes were drilled at rotting wood locations. Various spacing and depths were used to insure penetration of the rotten wood. Injection points and sealer material were set along the lamination lines and at the rot locations. Epoxy was injected to refusal. This re-established the integrity of the arches. Finally, new flashing piece was installed to protect against future deterioration.
