Concrete Repair Outline
These pictures are of spray applied Sikacrete 213F fire proofing over carbon fiber structural strengthening. Conditions relating to the job site caused some material to delaminate. In repair of these areas, we are installing a wire mesh anchored every 12” OC with ¾” standoff from the substrate. This provides a mechanical connection between the material and the substrate to prevent further delamination. The fire proofing primer is Sikadur 330 with sand broadcasted until refusal. Once the epoxy has cured, the fireproofing may be applied. 213F is a cementitious material that requires at least 2 days or curing before any vibrations can occur anywhere near the site. 1 ½” of material gives the system a 4-hours rating to protect the carbon fiber beneath it.
